PROTECTING & ENJOYING Lake Lillinonah SINCE 2003
Posted: June 03, 2021
Dear Friends of the Lake:
With great sadness we report the loss of Cort Davies, 43, a life-long Lillinonah lakeside resident in Brookfield. Cort passed away on May 6 due to complications from a rare genetic disorder, having fought hard for several years and through more than twenty operations. His determination, research, strength, grace and compassion for others through his ordeal was an inspiration to all that knew him. He is survived by his parents, Linda Hovhannissian Davies and Kim Davies; his brother Drew, sister and brother-in-law Samantha and Nick Martorano and nephew Dylan, and many uncles, aunts and extended family. We know you join us in wishing the Davies family our love, prayers and condolences.
Cort was an avid hiker and water sports enthusiast. In his honor, the Davies family is arranging a meeting at Lover’s Leap at 5:00PM following services for Cort on Saturday, June 26. The Davies’ family would like to invite our wonderful lake community to join us in a boat parade to help celebrate Cort’s life. Boats will congregate at Lover’s Leap at 5:00PM, join the Davies’ family and friends for a moment of silence, then parade to the Davies’ residence south of the route 133 bridge on the western shore (30 Lillinonah Drive, Brookfield; the 5th house from the northernmost house in that section of homes) for some honking, hooting and hollering…
If you do intend to join the parade, could you please let Scott Conant (email@example.com) or Barbara Petriccione (firstname.lastname@example.org) know? The Davies may provide signs for us, and a count of participants would be helpful. Please contact Scott or Barbara with any questions.

We look forward to gathering to honor Cort and support his loving family.
